I'm craving a kink meme, but definitely not interested in actually, y'know, hosting one again. Because I'm just not interested in that kind of circus right now, omg. Nor in Mohinder/Sylar, ugh (sorry to the fans of that pairing on my flist...).
So... if anyone has a Nathan/Peter kink meme-esque prompt you'd like me to write, leave it here and if I like it, I'll write something for it. I might also consider Peter/Arthur, Peter/Linderman, any combination of Linderman/Arthur/Angela, and possibly assorted Nathan het pairings. Maaaaaaaybe Peter/Claire, if I really like it.
Oh, BUT, absolutely no Sylar!Nathan prompts. NONE. DO NOT WANT. IS NOT NATHAN.

Don't worry if you haven't seen some of your picks in battle as of yet. We are still working our way through Round 1. Since our August deadline is looming, we've decided to run both rounds concurrently until we whittle our 'ships down for the eventual Final Battle. (Round 1 will continue as soon as I can get the next post up)
Please feel free to skip over any pairings you're not familiar with or have little interest in.

I've been a bad LJ-er lately. Not only have I not posted about anything other than American Idol for the past couple of months, I haven't posted anything at ALL for the past few weeks. Real life has been busy, but more than that, I just have not been participating in any fannish activity unrelated to Idol since, oh, mid-February or so. Seriously. It has taken over my fannish life. Heh.
Despite my continuing absorption with the show, I haven't had the energy to post on it for a while. I've mostly just been taking things in passively, lurking at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) ontd_ai (if you're a fan of Kris and/or Adam, I highly recommend it. Not only is the comm hilarious, it has unbelievable resources and you can find almost anything there as soon as it becomes available on the web. Check out the profile page (NOT WORKSAFE!)) and occasionally posting at TWoP. Apparently the fan-wars are still continuing. I find this immensely discouraging for a variety of reasons, but I hope it all dies down by the time the tour gets going and the albums drop.

This weekend one of my oldest fandom friends, V., came for a visit; we first met on a Star Trek convention eons ago. We've shared many a fandom since, and she had asked me to introduce her to New Who, being in the somewhat unusual position of knowing all of the Sixth and Seventh Doctor eras, but next to nothing else from Old Who. (One or two Tom Baker stories, plus the movie of doom, but that's it.) So I treated her to a New Who marathon, which led to the watching of the following episodes:

I dreamed I had to write a script for a comedy show I completely disliked
and I got it back to do rewrites only when they were already rearranging the set to start filming
and the guy telling me what to write was dyslexic so he did his notes on tape but I use subtitles so he sent them to get typed up before they got to me but the transcript went through the whole 'interesting idea, some good bits, please never use a pig's head again they bought a real one, now what we need to do is...' and then just said [tape hiss] and there was no more on the tape.
... and possibly it was someone's idea of comedy but if it wasn't I was supposed to go do rewrites reallyreallyquickly and I didn't know what.
Is no fair. I not finished my first script yet and already I getting scriptwriter anxiety dreams.

Carolyn (and Stephen) had me over for dinner around 6pm. Carolyn and I went to watch the fireworks from the Longfellow Bridge. We got there around 8pm. The fireworks are scheduled to start around 10:30pm. Except neither of us had thought to actually check when the fireworks were actually scheduled to start. Oh well.
I an reminded of why I don't watch the fireworks from the Bridge every year, but it was nice to be with Carolyn for her first Boston Fireworks. And we got to see them reflected in the Hancock Building, too. (And being there early it was nice to just watch the water and the skyline in the pre-sunset light. Edit: And also the F-16s.) And at one point there was this kind of adorable little boy; during one really bright round of fireworks, he said, "It made it light! It made it morning!"
Also, I hadn't noticed in previous years, but we were really aware of how many people around us were speaking languages other than English (plus just generally it was far from being all white people). It seemed really appropriate for a celebration of America.

I miss Heroes. I miss Milo, Adrian and Zach, I so wish I was going to Comic Con this year. Adrian said he would be there. Milo has to go for TopCow. The San Diego Marina Marriott have balcony rooms for $530 a night. I want one of those next year in the North tower. 20 days until Comic Con. 1 month 27 days until the S3 dvd comes out. 2 months 16 days until S4 premieres.
