A/N: Just started randomly rewatching season one and decided to take a shot at retelling it in the MoNP series. This part does not have any smut, but it's all about the Nathan/Peter. It would help to read the rest of Making of Nathan Petrelli to catch all the references, but I suppose this also stands alone from that okay.

Ok, so... man, it feels like a very long time since I've posted fic. Well, Buffyverse fic, anyway. Actually, it has been a long time. Anyway, this fic... requires a bit of explanation. This was beta'd by wisdomeagle, but I... um... didn't do most of what she suggested, so if you don't like it, it's my fault, not hers. *hugs her* I graduated from college right around that time, and life got in the way, I'm afraid.

Anyway, I am posting it now, years months later.

It's set in the In Another Life universe, so it's set during the series, early season two, but in a universe where Giles and Ethan never broke up, and thus have been together for over twenty years. It occurred to me that this particular fic, since it is mostly set apart from the events of canon, could be turned into original fic without too much effort. However, I think that the audience that this fic is aimed at... is you guys. So, here it is, free and still fanfic. ;)
